November 2014 Rental Market

What a beautiful time of year! The weather has been perfect – mild 70s or 80s during the day dipping into the 50s at night.

True to form, the Gainesville rental market showed rental activity picking up through the month of October and continuing through this first part of November. But beware it will die off during the holidays so be sure to maximize your opportunity to get your place rented now! If you need to do repairs and renovations or drop the rate, now is the time.

Because I work with such wonderful people and we take full use of technology, I was able to take some time and enjoy all of the fall colors in the mountains of North Carolina, Georgia, and Tennessee. We set out every morning after breakfast and came home in the evenings at bedtime. We rode through the Blue Ridge Parkway, Deal’s Gap, The Hellbender, Wedding Veil Falls, Cape Cove and so many other beautiful rides. Each place we visited had clear skies while we visited despite it raining in the same locations earlier. More evidence of being blessed. I must say cold in the mountains is much warmer than cold in Gainesville! I can’t wait to do it again. This past month also brought Halloween. This year we took our grandkids to Rogers farm in Alachua for a good old-fashioned Halloween carnival  – complete with pony rides, corn canons, racing ducks, a corn maze, a hay ride and a petting zoo. I’d say one of the best ways to spend Halloween with the kids. The duck race was a huge hit! Click here to check out the video!
