Broker's Corner with Tanya Chappell | January 2019
I hope you all enjoyed your Christmas and are looking forward to a happy new year. This year we took the kids and grandkids on a cruise to Mexico. What a blast and awesome way to make memories. Especially for a full of energy and enthusiasm, spiked with fearlessness - six-year-old granddaughter.
We’ve been in Costa Maya for water slides and zip line adventure park. Tubbing through caves in Belize, Deep sea fishing in Honduras and seeing the Mayan ruins in Cozumel. Alicia went non-stop taking it all in, then crashed hard with long naps between.

It’s so fun to be a part of that excitement and some really good memories as she grows older. I like to nourish that bug to travel in her. I see us traveling the world together.
It’s thankfully a slow time of year as many people don’t like to move during the holidays. But we do need to look towards spring and plan ahead for how you want your properties to perform in the new year. So, pay attention to how your property worked for you this year and if there’s anything you need to do to make it perform better next year.
Whether your living in the home and it needs some major TLC or it’s on the market and hasn’t moved for a few months. Keeping your property in its best condition only makes your life easier and saves you money. So, as you do your budgets for the new year consider what outstanding maintenance or improvements need to be made and start getting your estimates now before the vendors and contractors are too busy. No matter if you intend to hold or you want to sell, having your property in top condition will generate the best buyers and tenants.

We’re happy to help you with your real estate endeavors. Whether it’s time to sell and upgrade your personal home or rental property or even if you just need a good referral we can help. We have a niche for helping people fix up their homes to sale or to improve rental value, so let us know how we can serve you.
A happy and safe New Years to you all! Make some good memories and be safe. We’re in our last day at sea and it’s time to do the water slides.
