What the Free?! – June 2022 

We’re half way through the year, and it’s almost summer time! That also means it’s time to start making plans for 4th of July weekend! With kids being out of school for the summer, it’ the perfect time to travel and check out some free, local events.

Home Depot on the 1st Saturday of every month from 9am-12 pm for this fun, free event featuring workshops for kids.

This free online painting class is open for ages 10+ and adults. They will be doing a painting on nature and learning how to blend colors. Must register online.

The city of Williston will present its annual Pre-4th Extravaganza beginning with an Independence Day Parade at 5 p.m. Saturday, July 2 down West Noble Avenue. Following the parade, you're invited to go to Horseman's Park (1610 SW 8th Terrace) for an evening of music, food and crafts, followed by fireworks at dusk.

The annual July 4th bike parade is coming up. Decorate your bike, scooter or stroller. The parade is outside and free at 10 am.

Celebrate America in Archer for this year's Red White and Boom Independence Day Celebration at the new and bigger location (Archer Rd, 1 1/2 miles west of Santa Fe College Ron and Norita Davis Center) on Monday, July 4. Festivities will begin at 2pm.

Join this 2nd annual PinkFest event hosted by Celebration Pointe on Saturday, June 25 from 11am-3pm. This event brings awareness to all cancers while also uplifting the community. There will be vendors providing educational information and products along with a 1K walk/run.

At each location, the City of Jacksonville is offering a spectacular fireworks display that will begin at 9:45 p.m. on Monday, July 4, 2022. Choose from the following locations:
