This is my favorite time of year! Being from Massachusetts, I was used to the crisp weather and leaves changing colors. In Florida, I definitely don’t notice it as much. However, Alachua County has some amazing autumn events that are perfect for the whole family. The best part about it? A lot of these events are free!

Check out this Trunk or Treat event coming up on Saturday, October 22, from 8am to 1pm. There will be a flea market with food available for purchase, and funds raised will go to HSFUMC Youth. The trunk event will take place at 11:30am. Costumes are welcome!

Micanopy Florida is a scenic location for a fall arts and crafts festival. This quiet little town bustles with activity as the vendors
pour into town and fill Cholokka Boulevard. Many local artists, crafters, and musicians participate in the festival, as well as other artists from across the southeast.

Looking for some Halloween fun for the whole family? Join the Festival of Fun and Frights on October 29 from 1 to 4pm. There will be a dunk tank and a photo booth as well as cotton candy and snow cone vendors.
