How to Dress up your entry way
Every month we budget for bills, rainy days, emergencies, and necessities. But other than the exception of repairs and renovations, how often do we spend money to beautify our home. Even with a small budget, you can easily dress up the entrance of your home to make it feel more inviting.
Front door paint:
Every inch of our home requires maintenance, even the front door. Your door is the first thing visitors see. And with those Amazon packages arriving, why not ensure yours is in tip-top shape. Maybe your door just needs a touch-up, you’re ready for a new look, or you're practicing the ancient art of Fung Shei. Yes, there is a list of colors you use or avoid depending on what direction your door faces? No matter the reason, this is a fairly inexpensive update.
Add a Decal
What a fun and creative way to dress up your door and set it apart from other houses. There are so many options from house numbers to sayings. And if you own a vinyl cutter you can easily create your own.
Add a pineapple to your front entry
Did you know that the pineapple symbolizes hospitality? This tradition began during Colonial times. Pineapple was a rare fruit and the hostess ability to present one said a lot about her rank in society. It’s said that the colonial confections would even rent them to households by the day. While it was once a status of wealth, it now represents celebration, warm welcomes and hospitality. Especially in Southern regions.
Layered Doormats
Layered doormats are one of the hottest trends right now. You can easily put this look together my adding an outdoor rug under your mat. The link below shows some great examples and provides links for shopping. I was able to find some similar option on Amazon. Just type in layered door mats.
