Last summer, the pandemic left many families canceling their summer plans and avoiding gathering with anyone outside their homes. Thankfully this summer some normalcy has returned with summer camps and children’s actives being offered in our area. With so many choices, choosing the right summer activities for your children can be tough.
Here are a few of our favorite options:
Camp CSI is a summer camp program designed for high school students interested in forensic science and crime scene investigation. Throughout the course of 5 exciting days, campers will learn about basic crime scene investigation processes and techniques. This camp is taught by certified crime scene investigators, with years of experience in the field! Topics include crime scene photography, fingerprinting, bloodstain pattern analysis, and more!
Master Builder Camp is a play-based day camp program for kids that like to build and create." At MBC, we believe that children need to learn and explore their world and solve problems through play. We offer a supportive environment that allows space for individual creative processes. We believe that failure is an essential and positive part in creating, and that team-based projects give kids opportunities for leadership, connection, and personal growth. We want kids to laugh, be silly, make new friends, and leave at the end with greater sense of self-esteem and self-worth."

Available for ages 2.5 – 5 years (must be potty trained)
Camp Sunny provides young children the same great sports, games and fun activities as camp sunny in a program that is tailored specifically to their age and development level.
Our staff is experienced and trained in the early childhood setting. Although Camp Sunny Junior does not offer field trips or pool time, we do enjoy water day on the playground every week (weather permitting). Junior campers must bring their own healthy lunch if staying past 12:00pm. Naptime is also available for full day campers.
Camp Sunny provides children with an even larger variety of structured fitness and sports activities including, Gymnastics, Trampoline, Dance, Ninja, Swimming, Rock Climbing and more. We include all kinds of creative tasks to help children appreciate the joys of living, learning and staying active! Field Trips are included for full day campers, allowing kids to experience all the remarkable things Gainesville offers.

Step into the ring and have fun with your friends at Circus Camp.
Your child will have a truly unique experience with our quality performing arts instructors. In order to keep your kids safe with us, we are limiting our camp to 15 participants and will only accept kids ages 6+.
"Jordan Glenn is situated on 20 acres in a rural setting fifteen minutes outside Gainesville FL. The grounds include a large athletic field, swimming pool, tennis court, playground, woods, and a wide variety of plants and animals. Our air-conditioned facility has activity rooms, art deck, kitchen, and a piano that provide a friendly and informal atmosphere, as well as a multi-purpose room for large group and rainy day activities". Our Broker Tanya send her granddaughter Alicia here every summer and she absolutely loves it!
Camp Kulaqua’s Summer Camp is a Christian camp located in north central Florida. Our summer camp’s unique program allows camps ages 7 to 17 to come to camp at the same time while providing camper's their own individualized experience.
Each age group is divided into tracks: Cub Camp (ages 7-9), Junior Camp (ages 10-12), & Teen Camp (ages 13-17). We have found that providing a camper with a program that is specifically designed for them, they are happier and more interested. What does that mean? Each age group will have programs thoughtfully planned and designed just for them – from music to skits to daily schedules!
This is another favorite of Tanya's. Her daughter attended while she was growing up and did the overnight camp experience and had a fabulous time and learned a lot!
Camp Anderson is a Christian Retreat and Summer Camp that is centrally located in North Florida on the incredibly beautiful Suwannee River.
