The Education Foundation of Alachua County is getting ready to bring in 50 new students from across the district and they looking for volunteer mentors to help secure these students college scholarships.
1. To become a mentor complete the mentor application attached below and send to [email protected]2.
2.Attend a virtual mentor training via Zoom
3. Get matched with a student
4. Start meeting! Take Stock in Children is a scholarship program that provides mentoring, college success coaching and case management for nearly 300 middle and high school students in Alachua County. Our mentors meet with their students two times per month to encourage them, guide them and build their confidence. After successfully graduating from high school, each TSIC scholar receives a 60-credit Florida Prepaid Scholarship to use at any college, university or technical school.
At its core, mentoring connects students to trusted adults who can guide them through critical growth and personal development. Mentors help students understand that they are never truly alone. By consistently meeting with their students, mentors develop strong relationships that positively impact the lives of students.To learn more, please visit
