Happy Fall, Y’all!

As I write this, I’m driving through Wisconsin, taking in the gorgeous fall foliage on the way home from our camping trip on Turtle Flambeau Flowage near Mercer, Wisconsin.

Turtle Flambeau is a chain of lakes and rivers known for Northern Pike, Muskie, Crappie, and Smallmouth Bass. I’ll have to take the locals’ word for it though—this was my second trip, and once again, I only managed a small Smallmouth and a Northern Pike!

Last year, we packed two canoes, loaded with dogs and camping gear, and portaged over a mile into Lake Disappointment—where we spent seven days off the grid. This year, we gave ourselves a little grace and brought the boat. Trust me, fishing from a canoe with two eager 100-pound Labs isn’t easy!

Our first campsite was damp and shaded, so by day three, we found a beautiful island with a bluff and sandy beach. Camping there felt magical—we didn’t have to worry about the dogs tangling with bears or wolves, and one evening we were even treated to the northern lights. After a week of camping, we headed north to the Porcupine Mountains for waterfalls, hiking, and breathtaking views from a 40-foot lookout tower. The dogs kept us laughing, snoring loudly each night after wearing themselves out on the trails.

Pepper and Cutty truly are world travelers—they make every mile of the 1,400-mile, 20-hour drive back to Florida a joy.

Grateful for My Team

Of course, none of this would be possible without my incredible team—Tianna, Joan, and Heather—who kept everything running smoothly while I was away. As any business owner knows, the hardest part is finding and keeping good talent. I’m fortunate to have a team that shares my commitment to providing excellent service and expert care for every home we manage and sell.

We’re also supported by a network of trusted vendors we’ve cultivated long-term relationships with. Their dedication to protecting, maintaining, and enhancing our clients’ properties is a big part of what allows us to deliver the level of care our owners deserve.

Market Update

Historically, the end of September ushers in our slower season. Most of the homes that turned over in the busy summer months are rented, and many of last season’s listings have closed.

That said, market conditions are shifting. With interest rates dropping and another decrease expected before year-end, buyers may soon see more favorable conditions. At the same time, builders are sitting on inventory as new home starts are down about 8% since July. For buyers, this could create real opportunity.

For sellers, adjusting expectations is key. If the current market won’t support your target price, another smart option is to rent until conditions improve. That’s where we shine—our management services provide financial relief, peace of mind, and property protection until the timing is right to sell. I also offer free rental evaluations so you can make an informed decision.

Wishing You a Wonderful Fall

I hope you enjoy the cooler weather ahead as we say goodbye to the heat of summer. Whether you’re buying, selling, or renting, my team and I are here to help you protect your investment and reach your goals.

Until next time,
Tanya
