I hope you have been enjoying the cooler Florida weather! This month, Gainesville has started hosting some exciting, free events worth checking out. Some of this month’s events are virtual while others are in-person.
From free concerts, food truck rallies, and networking events, Gainesville has many family friendly events to pick from!
The High Dive in Gainesville is hosting a food truck rally in support of Habitat for Humanity. The event is on Saturday, March 20 at 5pm. COVID precautions are in place which include wearing a mask, distanced seating, and increased outdoor seating. There will be free music being played inside from 6:30pm to 9:00pm. There will be numerous food trucks with many options including vegetarian options. Support a great cause while having a good time!
MAM is a free concert series at Legacy Park. There will be diverse musical performances featured. It is recommended to bring lawn chairs and blankets. From March 19-21, there will be Jazz, Latin, and Acoustic performances. This will be an exciting, family friendly event.
One of the nation’s largest children consignment event is coming to town. From March 26-28, Ocala will host this consignment event. More details are listed below.
On March 9, LMS Network is hosting a free breakfast networking event where local business owners and professionals can connect, exchange referrals, and share ideas. The breakfast is from 8:30am to 10:30am, and there are limited tickets. The link below will provide more details for securing your spot.
The Florida Museum of Natural History and Alachua County Library District will host “NEA Big Read Children’s Book Meetup: Finding Wonders” March 27 from 10 to 11 a.m. In this free virtual book discussion, library staff and scientists special guest speakers will talk about the children’s book “Finding Wonders: Three Girls Who Changed Science” and be joined by Jeannine Atkins, the book’s author.
